To Warm the Earth

Climate change has gone the other way. A new Ice Age freezes Earth. Earth has been abandoned by the galactic civilization it birthed. But it’s monitored by a space station which imports a young Earth woman, a devotee of the Goddess. She introduces her religion to the sterile space culture. It catches on, the latest craze. One of its recruits is Govind, who has newly discovered his own gender as “a man.” He turns out to be a religious genius.  But will he recreate the ancient Earth story by dethroning the Goddess in favor of a God? A second thought experiment: How toxic can male anxieties, and male desire to dominate women, be to religion?
